Northampton Chess Mates Chess club is a member of the association that organises and oversees the running of chess in the county of Northamptonshire.

Competitions include the County Championship, Silver King League, Knockout and games against other counties.

There are chess clubs in Burton Latimer, Corby, Daventry, Kettering, Northampton, Oundle, Peterborough and Rushden.
