Championship
The Northampton Chess Mates Chess Club championship is set to begin in October 2008. Registration is now opened to all club members. Registration is performed by contacting (telephone call, email, etc...) the Championship Organiser. The championship will be played as a five (5) round Swiss tournament. A play-off between the players achieving 1st place will be organised thereafter. The time control will be 35 moves in 75 minutes followed by a 15 minutes sudden death finish. The championship schedule will be published by end of September 2008 on this site and at the club. Round pairing and standing will also be published on this site and at the club. Trophy for 1st place will be awarded after the tournament and play-off have ended and at the Club AGM that will take place during the 2009 Summer period.
